Stowmarket Lions Art Show... and 'going it alone'!

I can't believe it's already been a week and a half since the Stowmarket Lions Art Show at the John Peel Centre. Where has the time gone?! Actually, to be honest, I've been frantically working hard to get my freelance website and branding done before leaving my job to start working as a full-time freelancer... which I did yesterday! Today is officially my first day 'going it alone'! I had a lovely leaving meal with my colleagues from 032 Design in Ipswich last night and will miss them terribly, However, they are all friends and I will certainly be seeing most of them again at some point. For now though, I shall be concentrating on looking for work... painting will come in to it at some point I'm sure... especially during the times I don't have much computer work to do!!

For those that are interested in the computer stuff, my website is www.sarahjohnson-design.com

But anyway, back to the art stuff for now... I exhibited 3 framed prints at the John Peel Exhibition, and was happy to sell 'The White Wood'. Richard and I went to the exhibition on the Sunday afternoon on 5th March, between the torrential downpours that were going on that day! To be honest, it didn't look like that many pictures had sold compared to other exhibitions we've been to, but it may well have been as a result of the awful weather that weekend. This made me even more pleased to have sold something :)

Take a look at the Exhibitions page for more photos of this event.
