13th Ipswich Scout Group Art Exhibition & Sale - 10th Anniversary... next weekend...

Next weekend is the 10th Anniversary of the 13th Ipswich Sea Scout Group Art Exhibition and Sale. It's being held at the usual venue of the recently extended Scout Hut in Rushmere Road, Ipswich (www.13thipswich.co.uk)

Exhibition Opening Times:

Friday 25th November (Preview Night) - 7.30pm - 10.30pm - entry by ticket only (£10)

Saturday 26th November - 10am - 6pm - entry £1

Sunday 27th November - 10am - 1pm - entry £1

Terry Hunt, Editor of the East Anglian Daily Times, will be officially opening the exhibition on Friday.

There will be hundreds of artists exhibiting up to 5 original artworks each, and with the Scout group's policy of at least 3 new pieces not before shown at their exhibitions, there will once again be a whole new selection of work on show. The Preview Night is an opportunity for people to make an early purchase. Unfortunately the ticket price is higher this year, but Richard and I are still going as the atmosphere on the opening night is always very keen... and I have been lucky enough to sell something more than once in previous years. In fact, I have sold something at this exhibition every other year so far and didn't sell anything last year... hopefully that means I might this time?! Maybe, maybe not... I've done this kind of thing enough now to know not to get my hopes up! We'll just have to wait and see :)

This year's event poster has been designed by yours truly once again... the organisers definitely picked the most colourful option out of the three I provided! Hopefully it will attract lots of people to the event :)
